Change of Residence and New Painting Area

Recently made a new home purchase and got a really spacious basement for wargaming.

Still in the process of getting things set up but here a few pics of the work in progress . . .

Painting area with reclaimed cabinets to the left . . .

Painting area with reclaimed cabinets to the right . . .

Storage shelves . . . .

what will eventually be the gaming area.  Can easily setup 5x12 tables. But need to add some ceiling panel LED lighting.

Terrain storage cases along back wall.  Also needs more lighting.

Not pictured is the room for miniature storage.  That needs shelves and cabinets to be presentable.

I am fortunate to have this amount of space and can't wait to get the gaming area "lit up" so we can start gaming!

  1. Congratulations! I look forward to helping you put it to use playing. The painting, lighting, and construction, I leave to you. Rocky

  2. Painting and Construction I do myself, but lighting will be by electrician. No need to electrocute myself or burn down the house!

    1. Yep the miniatures get a room. A "normal" person would furnish the room as a guest room but there is one upstairs already. Maybe I'll leave room for a futon or single bed. I'll have to ask the miniatures.

  6. Slickest miniature storage I recall was a set of relatively shallow shelves (4 to 6 inches deep) with the shelves about 4-6 inches apart, with glass doors and mirror backing. Instant army doubling! Now, these dimensions were for 25mm ancients, your mileage may vary.
