British Light Troops

Finished up three units of British and Scottish light troops.  43rd Light (white), 52nd Light (buff), and 71st Highland (buff plus the hat band) Light Infantry.  This took a bit!  Add my 95th Rifles and Cazadore to the 43rd and 52nd and I have the Light Division.  I have some light dragoons and KGL Hussars around somewhere.    Looks like I forgot to darken base edges . . .

UK Commando and Italian Troops

Finished some UK Commando and Italian troops.  I already have a bunch of British special forces, SAS/SBS types, and German Para and Brandenburger type troops.  These will all be used for battles on Rhodes and Leros and other islands in the Aegean Sea.   Not a lot written about the British Offensive and German counter-offensive but one good book is "Churchill's Folly" by Anthony Rogers.

King's German Legion 2nd Light Battalion

Finished up the 2nd Light Battalion KGL.  Pretty much the same as the 1st Light, though sources said they had darker uniforms so I did that.  Not sure how well that shows in the photos.  Sources also identified other minor uniform differences between the 1st and 2nd Light but as I'm using the same sculpts I didn't make those distinctions.

King's German Legion 1st Light Battalion

Adding to the KGL, here's the 1st Light Battalion.

First pic is the "formed up" battalion and the second pic is the battalion on skirmish bases.

British Generals

Below are some British generals for the Peninsular Army.  Uxbridge, in the dark blue cavalry uniform is decked out for Waterloo, but the others can pass for the Peninsula.  Collars and cuffs are a dk blue but may need to lighten that a bit.  Ignore the bases, I haven't decided if I want to base these individually or with ADC's

British 13th Light Dragoons

Just in time for the Albuera battle this weekend . . .

Looks like I need to add brown wash to faces.

Still Painting Napoleonics . . .

During our blizzard and a couple days off from work, I got several stands of British Infantry painted and based.  AB Miniatures based for Age of Eagles (British 2-Line infantry on 9/8" wide bases vs. 6/8" bases for 3-Line infantry)

British SAS and LRDP

My latest efforts are British SAS and LRDP figures.  These are from Artizan's 28mm line.  Basing was accomplished with pumice, then completely covered in fine-screened aquarium rocks.  When that dried, I applied a watery umber coating, followed by watered down PVA.  When all that dried, I drybrushed with Vallejo Middlestone, then Dark Sand, then White.

British Napoleonic Infantry

I'm painting up more British Napoleonic Infantry, but this pic is of some very nice AB Minis I ordered from Dragon Painting Service in Hong Kong. I based them.
